A status update on the substantial work being done on his bull tattoo was provided by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

In order to hide up a smaller bull tattoo that he had for more than 20 years, the 49-year-old actor started increasing the tattoo back in 2017.

The actor showed off his bicep tattoo over the weekend, enhancing it even further and disclosing the “tough” job his tattoo artist Yomico is undertaking to add to the existing ink.

Work in progress: Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson provided an update on the work in progress that he had done over the weekend on his bull bicep tattoo.

Johnson posted pictures of himself watching Yomico work on his arm on Instagram on Friday.

Yomico is a genius at what he does, and we’ve worked together for several months—almost a year—on the intricacies and narrative that the tattoo will depict.

“Almost done, and it’s almost time to pour some tequila,” he continued.

The Baywatch star disclosed the next day that he had undergone five more hours of therapy on his arm.

30 hours: On Friday, Johnson shared photos to his Instagram showing him watching Yomico work on his arm adding more detail and different features to the hyper realistic image

The bull tattoo’s evolution is almost finished. On day two, I’ve spent more than twenty-five hours inking in my basement with my brother and the hyper-realistic artist @yomicoart. He penned

“My brother @yomicoart and I spent close to 30 hours tattooing (quite difficult because my entire upper arm and shoulder weren’t a blank canvas; rather, we enhanced and added to what was already there, so the level of detail, precision, and specific color for my skin takes a lot of time).”

Johnson revealed the massive bull tattoo on his right bicep in 2017, hiding a smaller, more straightforward design from his early professional wrestling career.

Johnson posted a comparison of the original bull tattoo and the updated artwork created by artist Nikki Hurtado on Instagram.

“The bull’s evolution has begun with @nikkohurtado.” This bull has been ingrained in my DNA for twenty years. my center. To be honest, it has also come to represent defiance, strength, heart, resiliency, and power to a great number of individuals worldwide. When I was a little child, I acquired this tattoo. “It must now represent me as a man,” he wrote.

The Jumanji actor described how he want the 3D bull to appear in order to symbolize his experiences in life.

“Let the pain begin!” The Rock gets a bull tattoo, which is his emblem.

On Saturday Johnson gave another update, writing: ‘Close to 30 hrs of tattooing (pretty challenging as my whole upper arm and shoulder wasn’t a blank canvas but rather enhancing and adding to what was already there so the level of detail, precision and specific color for my skin takes a lot of time) with my brother @yomicoart.’

Arduous task: the actor completed the work in his own basement, which included a bull’s skull hanging on the wall.

He wrote at the time, “Every detail is a reflection of my own personal history.” “From the heavy damage and cracks in the bone, which symbolize the difficult lessons I’ve learned throughout the years about life.” Similar to wrinkles and scars, I’m incredibly appreciative of them since they’re earned.

The actor said in a another post that it was a “rite of passage” and that “the MANA (power and spirit) has to be right before we begin” in reference to Nikko’s initial work on Johnson’s arm. Mana is powerful with the well-known Nikko.

We spent hours discussing how different I was from the man I am now. and my eternal self. Everybody wants to develop and grow. The mana is correct; let the agony and blood flow start. And he said, “#EvolutionOfTheBull.”
