Drake exchanged greetings with his friend, Jayson Tatum, who wears the #0 jersey for the Boston Celtics, following the Celtics’ victory over the Toronto Raptors at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto on Friday.

After providing commentary throughout the match, Drake was invited to join the broadcast booth, where he likened the Celtics’ guard, Payton Pritchard, to a “crypto scammer.”

“I feel like I’m in a time warp right now. Firstly, this guy isn’t [former Raptors coach] Nick Nurse. It’s been a while since I’ve been here,” Drake remarked. “I’m not sure where we’re at. The court looks completely different. Payton Pritchard is out there resembling a crypto scammer. This is wild. What’s happening, guys?”

The TSN broadcast team found Drake’s comments hilarious, struggling to contain their laughter.

Pritchard later responded on Instagram, writing, “I do have some BTC for you @champagnepapi.”

Despite not being a Celtics fan, Drake, who has been the official global ambassador for the Toronto Raptors since 2013, maintains a friendship with Tatum. In July, he brought the basketball player out to his Boston show, walking with him down to the stage amidst cheering fans in a video that quickly went viral.

On the same day, Drake also dropped his new album, “For All the Dogs Scary Hours Edition,” as part of his “Scary Hours” series. Additionally, he announced the addition of ten more dates to his upcoming “It’s All A Blur Tour – Big As The What?” with J. Cole.
