It’s no surprise for Celtics fans to see Tatum involved in the Olympic process once again. He showcased his talent as one of the team’s top performers at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, albeit held in 2021 due to the pandemic. Tatum played a pivotal role for USA Basketball, finishing as the second-leading scorer. In the finals, the U.S. clinched victory over France in a closely contested match.

Holiday’s inclusion was also anticipated following his outstanding performance in the previous Olympics. He ranked as the team’s third-leading scorer, and his exceptional perimeter defense played a crucial role for USA Basketball. Despite early struggles, including losses in a pair of exhibition games during training camp and a pool play defeat to France, the American team rallied together to secure their fourth consecutive gold medal.

The roster boasts a wealth of star talent, including several players who did not participate in the previous Olympics. The full 12-man roster comprises Tatum, Holiday, Bam Adebayo, Devin Booker, Stephen Curry, Anthony Davis, Kevin Durant, Anthony Edwards, Joel Embiid, Tyrese Haliburton, LeBron James, and Kawhi Leonard.

The first game will be held in Las Vegas, followed by two in Abu Dhabi before concluding with the final two games in London.

Following this, USA Basketball will compete in Group C in the Olympics, beginning on July 28. The team’s initial matchups will be against Serbia and South Sudan, followed by a third game against an opponent that has yet to qualify for the Olympics.
