Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic arrived at the American Airlines Center in his $250,000 Apocalypse Hellfire 6×6 Super Truck and all-white suit. Doncic is ready for the Game 3 matchup between the Mavs and the Boston Celtics. Dallas needs a win on Wednesday night to get back into the series as they are down 2-0.

Doncic has led the Mavs to the NBA Finals for the first time in his career. The last time the franchise was on the biggest basketball stage was in 2011, when they beat the Miami Heat in six games. Dallas has found itself in a similar situation as the Celtics had the NBA’s best record.

In preparation for Game 3, Doncic rode one of his favorite vehicles and stepped out wearing an all-white suit.

In each of the first two games of the Finals, Doncic put up at least 30 points. However, the Mavs have struggled against the tough defense and outside shooting of the Celtics. The European star is averaging 31.0 points, 10.5 rebounds and 6.0 assists in the Finals. He’s also averaging 3.0 steals.

Despite Boston’s hounding defense, Doncic has shot the basketball efficiently, shooting 51.1%, including 38.1% from beyond the arc.

Luka Doncic likely needs another pain-killing shot for Game 3

Before Game 2, there was a question about Luka Doncic’s availability as he was dealing with pain. However, he was able to see action on the hardwood as he reportedly took a pain-killing shot. Doncic played well and had 32 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists.

On Wednesday night, before Game 3, ESPN’s Tim MacMahon of ESPN reported about the possibility of Doncic getting another shot:

“Luka Doncic received a pain-killing injection before Game 2 to numb the area of his thoracic contusion, sources tell @malika_andrews and me. The expectation is that Doncic will get another shot before Game 3.

Doncic isn’t included in the Mavs’ injury report and will likely play. With the series in the Celtics’ favor, the team needs its franchise star more than ever.
