Antonio Rudiger can’t hide his anger over Kai Havertz mistake during Germany win

Rudiger argued with the coaching because of Havertz

CLARITY5 hours ago 👍  Center back Antonio Rudiger of the home team Germany appeared unhappy in the first half of the match against Hungary on the night of June 19 and had arguments with members of the team’s coaching staff.

Although Germany led 1-0 at half-time in the clash with Hungary in Stuttgart, before winning 2-0 on aggregate and qualifying for the round of 16 one match early, Real Madrid defender Rudiger still appeared dissatisfied. Specifically, at halftime, Rudiger had a fierce argument with the German coaching staff about Hungary’s missed goal.

Rudiger expressed his dissatisfaction when Kai Havertz, in Hungary’s free kick situation, dropped and almost missed the offside trap. Luckily for Germany, Willi Orban was still in an offside position on the first touch of the ball when his reverse header found the right post and a teammate ran in to hit the ball past goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.

It was a fatal blow for the home team, because if the goal was recognized, Hungary would have equalized and gain more confidence before going into the break. Rudiger and Neuer exchanged words after that moment before play resumed. Rudiger appeared very angry when the team left the field after the end of the first half and grabbed a member of the team’s coaching staff to argue.

Fortunately, things did not go too far. Germany went into the second half with a one-goal lead, before captain Ilkay Gundogan sealed a 2-0 victory midway through the second half.

Back to Havertz, apart from the situation where Rudiger criticized him for almost “harming” his team, the Arsenal player also did not leave any mark. To be fair, this was not an easy match for Havertz, because the Hungarian opponent played very well and “completely stopped” this player on the attacking front.

There wasn’t much space for Havertz, with Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz as well as Ilkay Gundogan operating widely across the field. So his disappointing evening was cut short, as Niclas Fullkrug was brought on as a substitute.
